In March, Temi noticed she had stopped arguing with bad briefs.

That frightened her more than the late nights.

A client sent a brief with the wrong audience insight. Three months earlier, Temi would have pushed back immediately.

Today, she simply started writing.

Halfway through, she stopped.

What am I doing?

She opened her log.

The pattern was there.

Earlier entries were full of questions, recommendations and changes she had pushed for.

The recent ones were mostly tasks completed.

She called Kunle.

“I think something is wrong.”

“What happened?”

She told him.

Kunle was quiet for a moment.

Then he said, “Update your CV.”

Temi sighed. “I know.”

“No. Today.”

That Saturday, she did.

Not the polite CV she had written before Pinnacle.

The real one.

Developed campaign concept for Hartfield Financial — pitch won.

Led client strategy meeting for FMCG account.

Managed multi-client content portfolio.

For four hours, Temi went through her log, emails and old drafts.

By evening, the CV looked different.

It looked like her.

Then she opened the essay.

Six pages became nine.

When she finally closed her laptop after midnight, she was tired.

But it was a normal tired.

The kind sleep could fix.
